I have a fidanza and I love it. It takes alittle getting use to but totally worth it. And it has a replaceable friction surface.

i would get the lighest one you can afford. comptech makes one that 6.75 lbs and if you can afford tilton they make one that's less than that
.

The Fidanza/Clutchmasters is definitely one of the best values available (and my personal recommendation), and would probably still be among my top choices even if it weren't such a great value.

I also have the ACT Prolite 8.4 pounder in my 97 civic ex coupe, and i love it... revs rise and fall faster, a little weird to get used to, but its no big deal... I would highly suggest the Prolite, especially since you have the ACT clutch already.
Thats too light, if you race your car, drag, you dont want a light flywheel. The RPM's will drop waaayyy too quick as you are shifting...light flywheels are only good for like drift, off road type stuff where you want the RPM's to drop quick so you can grab the good gear

you are soo wrong there. people who road race have to shift just as fast as people who drag race. if you're in the pittsburgh area you can come drive my car with a heavy 8 pound flywheel and i promise you'll have no problem with the revs dropping too fast between shifts.
i don't know how that ever got started but it's total bullshit and should be ignored. light flywheels are nothing but great.
for example, notice the 18 people above who all said "i have an 8lb flywheel and i love it".
in fact, i will personally paypal you fifty dollars if you can find me one person who has ever had an 8lb (or less) flywheel and got rid of it for that reason. good luck.

Hmm...well you are probably right then. That was one of my questions. I am getting an ACT clutch myself and also want a flywheel with it. I was told to go with a 11lbs but I kept hearing different stories all the damn time. I guess I need to ask someone who really knows a lot about it and who actually owns one. I'll take your word for it but I'll still try to dig up some more info before I spend all that money into it. Thanks for the advise though.

I have an ACT Streetlite and when I first got it on, I felt a difference. But now, I think I'm used to it and don't really notice it anymore.
You can download the video in my signature at the bottom if you need an idea of how it revs.

Damn, that is absolutely stunning!! Waaayyy nice. Do you have a post that states all the things you have done to your engine? I have replayed your video 6 times and still not sick of it! I really like it the way it revs up, and holly **** does that thing pull??!!!!! Damn!! Wish I could some day get my baby up to that speed, hopefully soon...Here are some pix 00 Civic Si and my friends 99 Civic LX
