Brakes/Suspension/Bushings redo -- problems with Axle/Hub nuts!
ok, so i'm gonna put new rotors, pads, and all new bushings in my car but i can't even get started until i get the axle and hub nuts off.
Will a manual impact wrench work? (the ones you whack with a hammer). I already snapped a 1/4" drive socket wrench and bent a bar trying to get one of them off.
Secondly, the rear hub nut is smaller than the front. I don't think the Helm's tells me much but from a guess I think it's 32mm. is that right?
Also, someone staked the rear nuts bad and i can't bend up the tab w/ a screwdriver. any good tools to bend that tab up?
lastly, i checked my front brakes and the left side the pads are almost fresh and even but on the right side, the inner pad is severly worn while the outside is fresh but they are both worn a LOT more than the left side brake. i also get a lot more dust on that wheel. does that mean the caliper is sticking? any points for fixing it?
any other suggestions/hints/shortcuts to doing all this stuff?

---I think a "manual impact" (impact driver) would work. Give it a shot.
--- As for the uneven wear.... it's funny that you mention it. I took a good look at mine today and have the same situation. LH pads are definately more worn than the RH ones. WTF? A sticky caliper is the only thing that popped into my head too.
Hmmmmm............?????

my car pulls pretty hard to the right so i would assume that the right side brakes would be the ones that were stuck or worn more but it's actually the left side brakes that are frigged... i don't understand.
what should i do to my brakes to keep them working well or to fix sticky ones? where should i spray grease?
