12's all motor hp
what hp do you guys think i had when i hit 12.8@104.7mph and a 1.86 60ft? car was about 2200-2300.
i know that i dynoed in at 187whp and 153trq but i dont think that hp would have gotten me into the 12's. i mean i was running 13.2@102 then i removed my ac system and switched to 24.5" slicks and dipped 12's.
cant dyno it now since my motor is apart for a turbo build
stuff that matters:
Wiseco 11.8:1
eagle rods
hondata s200
rc440
walbro 440
nopi header w/ 2.5" collector

honestly Bee with a car that light and that much TQ you dont need much on slicks to run 12s. id say 195 maybe, no offense but i dont know if you made over 200whp, but i would also belive it if it had made 200+ if that makes sense.
if you were cutting bad *** 60fts on those slicks then i belive 187 an 150tq would have made you run 12s.
Put it this way, Tom was running 13.3s on a STOCK ITR motor that made 177whp and like 125TQ in a car that weighed 2010lbs with baby slicks. Now you factor in your making roughly 10-15 more whp, WAY more TQ with MUCH better slicks
.......
of course your car weighs more, but did you actually have it weighed?

my thoughts exactly! but the question is how come i didnt run that type of time and mph before hand
same 60ft time and the 1/8th is about 3mph short of my nitrous run.
weird.....

If you were on street tires I'd say you had around 220 whp. I had 209 whp and ran a 12.8 @ 110, 2000 lbs, 1.99 60', on street tires.
Since you were on slicks and based on the mods, I'd say you were around 190-195 whp.

maybe its cause you only weigh 100 lbs soaking wet
in all seriousness, i think it shows hod good you were hooking up. i mean i ran 14.2@101, your only trapping 3-4mph more than me

the 102mph on street tires was at a prepped track (reynolds). the 103 you see there and 104.7 (being my highest) was at atlanta dragway. best time with street tires was a 13.7@102mph with a 2.3xx 60ft

Thats wierd you ran a higher mph with the slicks. Was it the same setup? Normally you spin more with the street tires and have a higer mph.
Thanks. I haven't ran the car in over a year. Next summer I should have the new full race setup out. I'm not sure on the headers. I might change it to a 4-1 side exit race header.

I dyno'd at around 189whp and aabout 138wtq. And I ran a 13.1 on 20x8x13 slicks with a 1.8xx 60ft. it was about 90% humidity and I bounced limiter in first. Soooo, I dont doubt that you ran that with bigger slicks and maybe some nice dry weather. My car is a 89si which is around 2200-2300 w/ me in it.

You guys are forgetting the conditions also.
Elevation, tempature, humidity, ect... makes a huge difference.
My friend in a crx(Stripped to nothing) with a b18b, block untouched with i/e/h/ some mild porting ran a 13.2. His car weighed, if i can remember, 1600-1700 pounds.

i was going to spray 125 shot but i didnt get a chance to tune it. so i only ran the 70 shot. didnt want to chance 125shot with high compression pistons untuned
