After changing my head unit to a Pioneer here recently I am pretty happy with the sound the way it is in my 4-door Civic LX. The 6.5's work pretty good and I was really suprised at how the 6x9's woke up! I have an S-10 also with an amp, 10" Image Dynamics.... etc... and the Honda other than a little quality sounds real close to it. I put about $1300.00 into the S-10 system so I would expect it to be better. The Honda speakers are pretty good (the 6x9's look to have a small magnet) but they work well. Due to wanting to keep ALL of my trunk space I plan on just upgrading the 6x9's and put a component set of 6.5" and 1" in the doors with an amp. What 6x9 out there will hit the hardest bass? That is what I want! I will be putting DLS Iridiums in the doors and I have a Kicker 800.4 amp. Will this amp power everything okay? Thanks for any help!

Thanks for any help! </TD></TR></TABLE>I would check out the Eclipse 6x9s http://www.eclipse-web.com , also I have never seen the speakers Intercooler is showing, but as you realy don't want any tweets in the rear it would make sense to install a midbass/ woofer in the rear, [ I have Eclipse 6.5 2ways in the rear of my teg with the tweets cut] 94

 

It looks like those may be discontinued. The guy I got the link from said he had them and they pounded! He constantly had to show friends that they were just 6x9's and not subs. I found these also:
