1st of all I did a quick search on here for surging.
I got some ideas of what it might be but all of the cars that were surging are vtec, and sadly mine isnt. So perhapes its is a defferent part that is messing up.

BTW the car is a 1990 Civic Si (not stock),
and doesnt surg everytime I drive it, just surges when it feels like it

hey if u talking about an idle surge id check your o2sensor and check for any vacum leaks

 

if the car surges when your at a stop you need to check the idle air control. its most likely that.

. Also check the Throttle Position Sensor, search here for correct multimeter readings on open throttle and closed throttle; it may need to be replaced.
