did anyone have any trouble at all putting a 90-91 crx front bumper onto an 89 crx? HF specifically, if it makes a difference. Was yours used and off a car or a brand new OE replacement bumper never been used? i tried to put on a brand new OE replacement one and it didnt fit, im thinkin if i buy a used one it might fit. i gotta know someone please reply. thanks

I don't think that will work without some modification, the front ends where different between 88-89 and the 90-91 series.

 

do you really mean bumper or the bumper cover the bumpers are different the non hf's have big heavy metal bumpers and the hf has a 2oz piece of sheet metal holding the bumper on , for racing porposes i put a hf on to save some weight the bumper cover should fit any year bumper. unless it is a jdm sir and then you need a special bumper that sticks out a little farther

 

im talkng about the dx/si reinforcement bar and a 90-91 bumper cover. not the small hf reinforcement bar, should i get an hf reinforcement bar? my car came with a dx/si bar and its an HF.

What exactly is the fitment issure... so we can kind of narrow it down. Is the OE replacement and aftermarket part, or genuine OEM Honda part? aftermarket body stuff has to be modified to work most of the time.

 

i have and 89 hf and i put on a 90-91 bumper which was used which i bought of ebay, absolutely no problem at all. maybe the bumper support thing has to be the problem.

 

the bumper i put on was an OE replacement 90-91 bumper. should i use the HF reinforcement or the dx/si one?

 

the bumper wouldnt fit from top to bottom, too short

 

go without the metal support just to see how the fitment is.

is the car bent in any way?

do you have the other bumper to do a side by side and figure this out?
