Default stupid noob question about lower tie bar

i just want to know, what exactly do I have to do to install a rear lower tie bar?Is it just unbolt the control arm bolts and then mount it back up?Also, can the tires be free flowing off a lift or should the car be sitting as if it is on the ground? Thanks ppl!

the car cant be on the ground and yes you just unbolt the lca bolts and install but its easier said than done on a civic.... snapping bolts sucks.

also, i dont mean to sound like an ***, but its a lower tie bar because it does not get near a strut or shock at all. it simply ties two points of the chasis.

i would caot the **** out of the bolts with some motor oil and let it sit for a hour or so and then try to bust loose. if/when it gets hard to turn add more oil. repeat
