Default HEAD...cams, springs, retainers, valves?

Well can anyone help all of us out i want to find some parts...I found a few places like most that will regrind cams and reweld them to custom , now that is great but where can we get the rest of the parts we made need with the increased duration of the cam such as the springs retains vavle guides and valves themselves. I was looking at the major brands but couldn't find anything for the accord. I want to get parts for a turbo head and i want to make it flow better and rev easier and higher we all know how well it revs and the accords awesome redline so if anyone knows a reputable place let me know!

You can build it to handle a higher rev but the question is, will you gain any power up there? From what I've heard F series motors don't think the revs and build their power lower in the rpms and tend to loose it up top.

I would like to know more about this thought because I plan on building the head on my F22B1 soon for all motor.

thats true but if you open up the head ie porting and have a multi angle valve job and all that combined with a new valvetrain i think there could be some serious power made especially with turbo so u can boost longer . thats what my plan is to throw some boost at it and want some upgraded parts i know the head wasn't ported from the factory to well and a lot can be done im sure! so who knows where we can find stuff

I've looked into this ALOT. Right now I have Manley SS custom valves. I think they were around $350 or so. As for retiners any good compainy can stamp out a retainer if they have a factory one to copy, ie. one intake and one exhaust. As for springs that gets a little trickey. I've already looked at the H22 springs and now for a fact they will NOT work in the F23 heads. My machinest has found a couple companies that are willing to custom make springs but they will take 6-8 weeks and are aound $600-800. Manley, Crower, Ferra, and there is one other company that I can't think of. As for reving higher be very careful. The F series don't like to be taken much over 7000rpm. Any thing over that and your flirting with disaster.

i just can't believe that no company out there doesn't make all of the right parts. Im sure im not the only one looking for these parts and for how much they want for valvetrain for a civic i can't beleive they are that expensive! but i guess we have to do what we can

Run a search for posts created by Marty T he can cut you a deal on some ferrea products. I am not sure what exactly but if you IM him he'll let you know. I thought the stuff was reasonably priced and alot of people vouch for him here.

Better yet go here:

you telling me all i got on my F23 all it has is low end, after 4.9k rpms i lose power, but vtec is set at a lower point at 2.1k rpms. it pulls to 4.7k then thats it, my car is only good to drag with other then that my car stops moving at 70 mphs.. i dont know why tho

valvetrain is a pain, as far as i know there is no dual valvespring set-up for f22 heads... ferrea's spring/retainer for the f23/f22b's are to short and leave a gap. Bisimoto recommended me to get kibblewhite components and he had valvesprings (no clue if its single or dual valvesprings). I emailed them but havnt gotten a response, i dont plan on buying any of my head parts until the summer so i'll call then if htey dont have the parts advertised yet.
