D15B swap problems. opinions needed.
I'm about to do the d15b swap but have hit a major snag. I was adjusting the valves when I noticed that one of them was sticking open.
I pulled the intake manifold off and saw that there was rust on the stems of three valves.
In addition, there were a lot of rust flakes on the valve head to valve seat interface on one valve. I'm not having a very good feeling about the engine at this point. In fact, I'm a little worried that there might be further damage. I'm worried that the rings might be rusting as well.
I'm thinking that this would be the result of the cleaning that the engine company(Soshin) did prior to sending it out.
Has anyone run into problems like this? If so, how did the engine company resolve it? Did they give you a lot of grief prior to resolving the issue? Thanks for your time.

I've had it for three weeks now and it has always been in a heated shop. How long since it was last run, I don't know.
Thanks for your input so far. I guess I'm wondering what to do. Does it sound like the head needs to come off, or are there any other things I could try? Thanks for your time.
