Default built sleeved b20 vtec with high compression + supercharger...safe?

a sleeved b18 with 85mm bore and 89mm crank along with a type r head and 11.__:1 compression with buddy club 4s or jun 3s...would it be safe to supercharge it?

i pick supercharger so theres no intercooler and the nice "psssshhhh" hehe

which would be better jrsc or vortech?

would the extra displacement help alot with the supercharger?

your not going to be able to run pump gas on sky high compression and boost. Why so high comp??

93 octane if thats any help...

how high does the compression become when a supercharger is aded to a 11:1 compression?

no listen, your not going to be able to run pump gas with through the roof compression and boost. Adding boost doesnt change the motors compression ratio. New to this much???

jdm itr motors come with 11:1 compression. and ive seen 12:1 all motor motors run 93 gas.

all motor= high compression

Forced Induction= Lower Compression comprende?

but not with a supercharger or any sort of forced induction. cant go 2 different roads at the same time, it's either N/A or Turbo, take your pick.

yeah but isnt it safe to supercharger a stock itr motor? its high compression. as long as its tuned isnt it ok?

ya its safe to supercharge your motor. but you wont have very good results seeing that the BC spec IV are great all motor cams i dont believe they will like the supercharger a whole lot.

You could do it but you cant do it with stock ecu w/hondata or anything like that. You need something like AEM EMS or DEFI or **** like that.

Its all in the tuning. So basically if you have alot of money it can be done.

also you would have to build up your supercharger to be able to handle those rpms with the BC cams or Jun's. While your redline may only be 8k on a stock motor the compressor fins on the supercharger are spinning at maybe 10k-11k. At that rpm the supercharger becomes inefficient (spelling). In other words you'll be compressing hot air which is not good. If you wanna make power get a simple turbo setup with a decient size turbo (SC61). Oh yea I'm not turbo bias this is comming from a person who is Supercharged

with the vortech supercharger, theres an optional intercooler of some sort i forgot the name of it.

it shouldnt be blowing in hot air like the jackson racing does.

im thinking that if a vortech supercharger works on a high compression stock engine like the type r, it should work on a same compression but more displacement engine like a b20 type r.

Vortech SC's are just like N/A cars they make all their power almost close to redline. If you wanna go SC I say do a b20/vtec with 10:2.1 compression and run the 10psi stepper pulley (JRSC), which will bump it up to 12psi with the b20 crank pulley. I'm running 9:5.1 compression with a sri, 2.5 4-1 header, 2.5 test pipe, and 2.5 exhaust 6psi and making 205whp. So 10:2.1, i/h/e, 12psi, on a B20/vtec will put down some decient numbers and gobs of torque.........
