at idle with mine its about 20psi. 50psi sounds right for regular driving on mine. Then around 75-80 psi at WOT

I usually run about 70psi cruising on the highway, almost 80 under full load and around 30 at idle. As long as you are above 50 psi at 3000 you are okay , at least that is what the factory service manual says. VTEC takes about 64 psi to function if you are using a pressure switch. 40 to 50 seems a little low , oil pump or main bearing clearances have probably increased a bit.

yea, the oil clearance was checked and it was over the service limit. i think it was .003 inches. that seems to be the cause of the problem. the crank in the block right now is not the stock one so the codes on the crank and block cant tell me which main bearings to get. i guess i'll have to go one size bigger in the bearing. right now it's run n ACL main bearings which is honda green. which color is the next one over? brown, yellow, etc.????
