hey my 00 hatch recently got broken into and i had my deck ripped out. so my center console is all broken and the two middle AC vents are as well. i would post pics but they took my digicam too that was in my glove box. now how do i go about replacing this? it looks like the outer frame is held in place by a few bolts in the dash. and i know not all DX's came with AC so would i need to find another dx with AC or will any 99-00 ex or lx work?

 

damn if someone knows how to fix this it would be awesome. the same thing happened to me.

the console should come out with a about 9 clips, use a screwdriver with a rag wrapped on the end so you do not scratch you dashboard and it should pop out.

Search for threads on how to convert the 96-98 civic center console to the 99+ one, this will have good details on how to take both consoles apart. I remember the 96-98 one is a bitch but I think they made it easier on the 99+.

My GF's 02 civic console came out with a bunch of clips, radio and everything.

 

These are the instructions that I used when I removed the center console from my '00 Civic:

It shows you where the 4 bolts and 7 clips are that hold the center piece in the dash.

And yes, any '99-00 Civic console will work.
