ARP rod bolts
ok, so i've been reading about arp rod bolts.. summit says for the acura 1.8L engine use the 9mm bolts #208-6401. but c-speedracing says to use the honda 1.2-1.6L 8mm bolts #208-6001 with the ls rods. who's right?
here's a quote from c-speed...
"Since the motor will seeing 7500-8000rpms its a good idea to upgrade the stock rod bolts to ARP units. If you are using stock LS rods, you will need 1.2-1.6 rod bolts x 8mm. Part # 208-6001. DO NOT use the VTEC 1.8 x 9mm units".
when i talked to summit, the 9mm bolts don't specify whether they are for vtec or non vtec motors. i'd appreciate any advice you guys can give me. thanks.

LS rods use the 8mm rod bolts.
I'll give the regular schpeel on using them. Check the big-end for no more than .0005" out-of-roundnes after installing them and stretching the fasteners to spec, and then align bore as necessary to get them back into tolerance.
Use the ARP moly lube on the threads and seat of the nuts when stretching and especially if you only plan on just torquing them to spec.
