what needs to be done to make it fit and work perfectly???

Use my wire diagram to repin an ITR cluster in a Civic. 93egCoupe posted a link. You can use plumber's strap to hold the cluster in place, but there will be a small gap on the top. Personally, I don't think it looks too bad, especially going from a DX Auto cluster to a GSR. I've done a couple of swaps myself.
