No, he's talking on the inside diameter of the TB. That hole does go to your fast idle thermo valve which is the thing on the bottom of the TB with the coolant hoses going to it. Take the TB off and then either adjust the FITV or put a metal plate in there so the hole that you're talking about won't reach the FITV.

It that def the problem tho? i froze my *** off today trying to get this problem fixed.. Someone told me it could be my tps or something behind my intake manifold. I unplugged my tps sensor.. Nothing.. I unplugged that plug behind my intake manifold and my idle went back to normal.. but then i tried to drive to check and it and yea that was not a good idea. I have been doin everything myseld lately instead of a shop but this is gettin out of hand.. Guess ill take the throttle body off tomorrow and then go buy a gun ha thanks

make sure if you take off your TB, that you replace the TB gasket. if you don't, you'll most likely have a vacuum leak and you're have a fluctuating idle.

the TB gasket is a peice of freaking paper. You dont need to replace it every time you pull the TB off. You should only have to replace it if you tore the **** out of it.

most likely if he takes off the TB, he'll tear it, so might as well replace it for a few bucks then have a headache finding out why his idle is fluctuating now...

I had the same problem once, and yess its the Fast idle valve....
its usually under the TB, there is some sort of a plastic ring inside of it, usualy i guess honda puts some locktite or something in there...but sometimes it comes loose....just turn it like a screw to tighten it back in and you should be alright...
the thing is the valve is probably always open....
and it idles really high until temp goes up...then once its at temp...it prolly goes back down to normal...or some what normal idle....
estimated time 1/2 hour if your fairly skilled
