difficulty of h22 eg hatch swap?
how hard is it to put an h22 in an eg hatch? i'm thinking about it for a project car to possibly track, but i have no experience swapping engines and limited access to tools. one thing in particular that concerns me is wiring, ie obd0 vs obd1 vs obd2. cost is also somewhat of a concern as i'm in college.

It's not that hard of a swap at all. More involved than a B series since it doesn't directly bolt-in but still not hard by any means. If you install it in an EG, just get an OBD1 full H22 swap (most common one bought anyway) and you won't have to worry about OBD compatibility. Really youjust reuse the stock EG harness on the H22 and extend wiring for the alternator, add the injector resistor box + wiring, then misc sensor wiring. Check the H22 thread at the top, it covers damn near everything.
thx for the info
i noticed the sticky right after i posted lol. doh!
engine management would be required right? i would just have to send the stock ecu off to hondata right for reprogramming? also, are all eg's obd1?

EG's (92-95 Civic) are all OBD1, all Honda/Acura's are for that matter. You won't need any engine management, the stock P13 H22 ECU that you get with the swap is what you use - it doesn't need to be rechipped or any of that.
The swap is not hard at all. if you know how to do wiring and your somewhat mechanically inclined your set. My swap cost arround 4k but i got the best of everything( hasport mounts, axles, new clutch ect...) so it arround the same as a B serries but more power.
you can use the stock p13 but id suggest a chip. So much more power thant the coservative honda maps. Or you can run a chipped p28. Talk to HRTuning and he can help you with that part.

thx again for all the input
so the only differences betweena b18 swap and a h22 swap are the axles, mounts, and resistor box correct?
also, lets say i bought this complete swap from hmotorsonline (http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30016) with the correct integra/accord axles and hasport mounts, all i would need besides that for parts would be the resistor box correct? would the stock civic fuel pump be fine? thx again for the input.
EDIT: excluding parts i would probably replace for the sake of replacing (i.e water pump, timing belt, spark plugs, maybe clutch/flywheel)

stock fuel pump is fine. i would also suggest getting a double core radiator if you have a vx,cx,or dx (i think Si has stock double core) Id also suggest getting the mugen fan switch and thermostat....
