Has anyone ever had a synchro replaced, my lude is grinding into fifth gear...How much does a tranny shop or the dealership charge?????

 

not sure if they have one in your area, but HONDACURA was going to charge me $850 for 3rd gear on my 1992 prelude S

 

Depending on the mileage in your car, its free. There is a TSB on the 5th gear grind. theyu are suppose to relace it under warrenty. They did mine. Now also if your car is out of warrenty honda can also do like a manager special thing where the general manger foots part of the bill, but you either pay for labor or parts and they pick up the rest. Call your honda dealer and see whats up?

 

Mine was also replaced under warrenty
