Coolant disapearing
For those that dont know i have a h22 in a accord. Anyway ever since i rebuilt the motor my coolant keeps going low. I checked the oil and NO water is gettign in the oil and I also checked all around the block. there are no leaks. The only place i see coolant is around the overflow bottle. I replaced the rad cap thinking it might be bad..... But everyday i have to add like almost a quart of antifreeze. but the overflow bottle stays full.. OVER full infact. Also when i realy get on the gas hard the temp gauge goes fully hot..... and the heater starts to blow cold air..... normal driving it runs normal temp and the heat works well... These just dont make sense to me. Is it possible that there is a blockage in my system? or any other thoughts would help.
you know the level does fluxuate when it is hot and cold right ? when its hot it could be at the tip top, but when it cools and you pull the cap off you may not see any coolant. So you keep filling it, then when it reaches temp it overflows into the catch tank. pull the rad cap off, let the car idle and come to full temp, add coolant as needed WITH THE HEATER ON FULL BLAST as to bleed to system of bubbles. cap it off when there are no more bubbles and you should be set.
