Ok here is my situation.

I'm 21 car is insured and registered as well as inspected under me

i have had my license suspended for 1 year now. then i got caught driving undersuspension for a "random traffic stop". got nailed 2 times for $300(each) and another year suspension added. then i got smart and applied for an OLL license which gives me the right to drive for work purposes in the state.

my question is i have never had an accident in my life in the 6 years of having a license in NY and PA. I just wanna know if i'm able to get a SCCA or NASA racing license or compete in any events associatied with them. in this situation of shown proof of good record besides the speeding tickets. what can i do??? do i really have to wait til 2006 to get my drivers ID back. all i have is the OLL permission and state photo ID.

Why do we need to have state drivers license to race on course or autox. i remember last year when i was suspended still i still retatin photo id license and i was able to race in solo 1 and 2. so obviously they dont tap into the system to check. i'm really serious about competing. and to keep it off the streets. can i take any classes in my case associated with either party to verify my skills and safety.

info would be good, no flaming or stupid opinions needed. i want adult mentality and advice to lend a hand on who to call or write to or do in my situation.

 

The rulebook says you need to have a valid drivers license.... although I've never had mine checked, ever in 6 years of autox/track events. There's a good reason for the rule, although its just not enforced

 

btw whats the reason for the rule?

so how do you actually go and pay for the event? you give name, class, money and car # and your done?


i gotta let off steam a bit: I took a defensive driving course in NY to lower my insurance 15%. once i moved to PA these f'n cops are like get outta here. i get hassled often whether im in my work van, car or wifes car. i have my info rubberbanded to the sun visor.

There's gotta be more to it than that. You dont get bothered by the cops unless you're bothering them by doing something wrong. Between a bling bling ricer car (ITR) and a Bimmer, I havent gotten bothered one bit by the cops.

 

Most FIA license have provisions where you can actually lose your FIA Comp license for obtaining a simple speeding ticket. Rules are Rules.

It's either a racial thing or profiling of some sort. i've been followed by police and gotten a call from my uncle on my cell to come back to his house, i was driving his black SL 500 w/ amg package back from the detailing shop i know people at.

i also got locked up and sued this township around me on another case. so i figure in 30 minute circumference i'm a target. I try to *** kiss the cops *** around here when they razzle me about my car. smile and nod and say something positive. i'm very intimidated by them. got it on tape when they used excessive force and they said they needed to. charged with intimidation of officer/disorderly conduct/resisting arrest/intent to cause emotional and physicall harm and distress/and some type of minor assault. like wtf was the real reason of pulling me over. **edit no phone call for a day stuck in this stupid cell with cuffs on still they threw away my house and van key that i had in my pockets saying i cant have anything on me and by then i was transfered to court house(while cop was saying oh yeh i got you good ur gonna be in for awhile) where i was processed and sent to Berks county prison(BCP) then was able to make call and bribe a judge($750) to bail me out another day later on sunday latenight 12am into monday. so i sued and expunged my record. do you know how that makes a person feel. happens few months ago sept 04'

another thing my firend was speed trapped on vascar at 90mph street racing(speeding/hardaccelaration/wreckless driving on the ticket) in a 35mph zone and was let off with no fines with a junior license(17) i was doing 81 in 55mph zone on highway not streetracing like him. and i got my license taken away for 3 months and 180$ ticket 1st offense same Judge. around the same month or so. he is white don't know race. thats another example.

I dunno where you live but Reading, PA Berks county isnt the best place for a spanish person to live around or any place in PA i would say. I live in the back roads, and have like a 1/8 mile road leading to my place off the main road. Reason why i live here is for scenery, business and schooling. say someone (Anyone) is on my personal private property at night and i shoot him with my shotgun and kill him. you know i'll get arrested or something dumb. White/caucasian person shoots a black dude they would say why is he in the farm land at this time he must be robbing this house.

I run a contracting company in my county and surrounding counties. So obviously i give off an impression that i have 50 kilos of cocaine in the back of my cargo van cause of my skin color. and i guess they cant read the Directv and home theater logos all over on my van. or do they think i stole the van. oh yeh no citations either.

Yeh i'm a little upset, thats the way things are. I guess a 21y/o puertorican in a commonwealth state who income is in the 80% percantile isn't good enough. I'll continue to bust my *** and make a honest income and waste more money getting bailed out and suing even though i get the money back, its a waste of my time, headaches. My wife who is german stood by me 100% who i love i prolly wouldnt be here if it werent for her and my uncles attorney. and too the owners in my company who didn't shaft me in this situation of having contact with authorities and actually bailed me out once.


I also hate pulling the race card, but my uncle (who is german and been married to my aunt since i was 2) is a very respectable prof. bowler and golfer. 4 days of chiropracting too. even said it. i actually use his lawyer. I would like to note i never had problems til i came to PA and i mind my own. People on H-T who met, know, talk to me everyday can vouch for me.

i feel like a little whiney bitch now. but this is all the truth. i have 2 yrs left of it suck it up. this is a life scar. i can feel for people in your state who got it bad. I'm glad it's not to that certain extent.

Let me tell you a little secret. COPS DON'T LIKE YOU. Whaether it's because your not a good ol boy or because you have a 200whp CRX or because you messed with them tooo damn much.

If this is how you want to spend the rest of your life so be it, but it sounds like you **** too close to home and the bacon does'nt have anything better to do.

My advice stop driving like an ******* on a suspended license, talk to a lawyer about your situation with driving and see if they can be of assistance in getting the time reduced and buy a trailer and spend you ticket money on track events instead. I am sure that if you are clear with your local steward about your situation they can find a solution since technically you are still able to legally operate a vehicle on public highways

I would say that you aren't even allowed to drive to autocross/HPDE events, much less compete in them. Looks like you have to keep your nose clean and wait until 2006.

so your saying the cops know me?? no they dont. as i said i keep to my own. i dont live in a hick small town my whole life. i move frequently.

me being arrested has nothing to do with my car. i was actually driving my work vehicle.

and again as stated clean record besides speeding that was 2 YEARS AGO. and i have a work license to drive for months now and had it when i was arrested.

my woman drives my car and doesnt get pulled over. its too a point if we go out she will drive and not once we get pulled over and she drives AGGRESSIVE. your comment makes you just as ignorant as the PA residence and authorities. **btw i just got this car 2 weeks ago. and its not 200whp, its in the building process for TRACK. you ***. dont you think my situations show a bit of racial tension. so dont be closed minded. and accept that people dont live a sugar coded life and have the luxury of being EQUAL no matter what you are.

i dont drive agressive i would admit if i did though.

 

i also own a 2004 CBR 600 RR newly aquired in Oct. do you believe the first week i had it a cop flipped the switch when i drove by him. stock no loud pipes or speeding just the normal sunday cruise with open face helmet. in PA you dont need a helmet there is no law but i have 2 types.

i was like screw this and outran him before he even got close to get plates.
its like i cant win man. what am i driving it illegally? am i speeding? like what does he need to ask me? or should i say harrass me about.

speedlimit is 45 i do 45-48 back and forth i cruise.

nah its cause he seen my face my color because of my open face helmet.

if i was a white dude with a honda goldwing i wouldnt have to worry about pulling over.

 

I think we've gone far enough off topic with this - if you want to discuss racial profiling, do it in GDD.

Consult with the organizations you want to drive with, and see if you can work something out with them - thats really the best thing to do at this point.
