Default problem with my swap

i have a 99 d16y8 with air injection system with obd1 p28 ecu, it runs like crap. im using a d16y8 intake manifold from the 96 year( non air injection) . whould this cause the car idle really high and smoke fuel like crazy?

if you are running the P28 ecu you should take off your resistor box, and solder all the wires together. Your best bet would be to use some obd1 injectors.

No. He's running low impedance injectors. He must use a resistor box with these if using an OBD-1 P28. I do agree with trying some high-impedance injectors with no resistor box though.

Is it possible you have the TPS and MAP plugs switched?
