batt light still comes on even after new batt and alt help plz + engine tips
ok i have a 1989 civic hb that when i bought it had a bad batt so i replaced then the batt light started to come on so i went to adv auto to get alt tested and was only putting out ~7amps so i replaced the alt, now the batt light is coming on again and now i'm thinking it's the ELD (electronic load detector) or the ECU has anyone had this prob b4 and could u give me some tips on finding the ELD inthe car and poss places to get a NEW 1 to replace it, i would like to get new since the alt and batt are new too... but i really need help or my civic project it scrap b4 it starts... well i guess it's not that bad only paid $400 for it with parts (alt and batt). and after i get this thing rollin again i was thinking of going with a CRV b20 motor w/ LSD tranny and a turbo any comments or ideas. crv b20 ~$600 from junkyard, still looking for a reliable place to pick up LSD tranny and my friend will give me his T3/T4 turbo

Check the ELD and also check your ground cables replace them all with new cables get 4 gauge cables and redo all the grounds.
have you tested the new alternator yet? dont rule that out. fix it before u turbo the car. or supercharge it?
