Setting TDC on d15b cam pulley
I am doing the timing belt on my newly purchased D15b. I just found out the hard way that it is a VX timing belt, but thats a problem i know understand and can fix. there is another problem though
when i took the cover off of the timing belt with the old one on it, and the crank set to TDC, the "UP" was pointing down, the "TDC" mark was pointing out into the middle of nowhere, and the two other lines were just about level with the block surface.
HOW THE HELL DO YOU SET THIS CRANK PULLEY. I am soo confused right now it is not even funny. I only want people who have personally done this to repsond, not people using hearsay.

UP mark facing up (two side marks like up with the head) on cam pulley, and crank pulley white mark (the one that's by itself to the right of three marks) matched up with timing mark.
line up the cam like this

then on the crank pully there is four marks three close together and one farther to the right. Line up the pointer with the one farthest to the right.

That is another way to make sure.

thanks all, after a little dinner and some logical thinking i got it. There were two markings on the plastic backing behind the timing belt. you know those little pointer type things. One of them had P28 next to it, and the other two that i am mentioning had p08 next to them. And of course the head is a po8, so it all made sense from there. It is set up using the two horizontal lines and not the tdc mark, and its dead on now, just have to get the proper belt from my man tomorrow.
thanks again/
