Default Will Integra R 4.785 FD work with H22a transmission?

Does anyone know if the Integra Type R 4.785 FD will fit/work with the H22a transmission?

I use genuine Honda MTF. Works great.

Getting that final drive into the h22a would make an awesome difference!

If you have the R final drive, pull out apart the lude tranny and compare the diffs to see.

ACTUALLY - I have a USDM H22 tranny pulled apart at home. If I could get you some detailed pictures, would that help you any?

I have one as well... Hum, I would REALLY like to find out about this as well, but highly doubt it would work..

first off, I would count the splines on the axles on an integra, as well as measure the diameter.

other problems would include the diff being to large (shorter final drive = larger diff gear.) and the counter shaft being the incorrect length. Its actually sitting here on my desk - I don't have a ruler, but comparing it to a 8.5x11 piece of paper gives me the impression that it is 11.75" long.

I have a feeling you'd have to use all the gears in a B-series tranny to get it to work. That gets really complicated, and I would then just think about modifying a B-series tranny to bolt onto the H-series block.

This is just me talking out my ***, but stuff to think about anyway...

None of that is really relevant.

But it probably wont work and here's why:

Problem #1: final ring gear wont bolt up to prelude diff
Problem #2: Countershaft probably isnt compatible with the prelude gearset
or prelude trans casing.
