i would choose the omni power they look a little beefier in that pic.. and omni has been out for a while and people can attest to the quality and not saying that skunk 2 isnt but they are new and not yet refined

Tein SS is nice but I'm only planning on using the coilovers for daily driving. I'm not planning on going to the track or anything like that.

Then just get some lowering springs... they would be cheaper and with a good performance shock probably perform way above what you have now.

i have a set of the tein, the difference between shocks w/springs and a full coilover is night and day; "do it right the first time with Tein SS!"

Omni's do look alot bigger and tougher but Skunk2 has been around alot longer and thats why a part of me wants to consider buying them.

dont buy something based off appearance, that has to be the biggest fallacy of the racers creed. u should look at a company's heritage and racing history to get the best idea of how their products will turn out.

I can't agree more.
Dont judge a book by its cover. Call SKUNK2 and OMNI, ask as many questions as possible that you want to know. Heck, call me up, i will gladly help you out!

I am just saying, do the research and choose whats best for you, not someone else.

so if the "big dog" @ zeal or tein branched off to create his own coilover, which he outsourced from taiwan, is it justified to say that his design is superior or equivalent? being the genius behind the machine doesnt mean the machine will operate properly. there is trickle down marketing going on (which explains why omnis are created in a cheap labor situation).

I think Omni did a great job marketing their product, and i dont doubt their rigidty but something tells me that a product assembled in taiwan, and one that is created from an unknown manufacturer should be approached with extreme caution.

footnote: this is only an opinion. but dont take it for granted
