Just cause a hood is expensive doesnt mean its good. i bought a Fiber Images hood. cause they were said to be the best... I have a 1.5" gap on my passanger side. it sticks up above the fender. i tried puttin hood pins in but the hood stuck up to much for the pins and semi-cracked the hood. so Fiber images gets a big

i got a cheap one off ebay, fitment is pretty damn good and the weave is awesome. It was from a small shop on NoCal.

The cf is really thin and you can see thru it with the hood open, but it is real light becuase of it. So you kinda take the good with the bad. I paid $230, it fits great and ive had it for a year as a Daily driver and it still looks brand new.

if you're in the MD/VA area pm atisvt99. he's doing his 3rd VIS group buy. I got mine cheap last time and the fitment is great. Also about half the weight of my stock hood

I make CF Hoods.

And outta what you guys said was the best.... I've seen a lot... heres my rankings and reviews:

VIS RACING HOODS - Good for value, good fitment, but they a lot of flaws out when they quality control their hoods... also durability on hoods is 3/5, It has a skelaton... but its not a good one... leaves CF underside exposed... ALL GOOD SKELATONS are on top of and dont leave the underside of the CF side exposed

JDMSHIT HOODS - Good for value, okay fitment, lot a flaws like the vis quality control is 3/5 (AVERAGE)... you will get some bubbling with their hoods... Skelaton is like VIS... not that great. very similiar to VIS... but usually carries more flaws.

FIBER IMAGES HOODS - Rock Solid hood, GREAT SKELATAL STRUCTURE... but that EQUALS... SOME ODD fitment issues... they need to be modified to fit sometimes a thumbsdown... their blemish/quality control team is 4/5... they let some hoods out with too many bubbles... Latch is rather weak...

SEIBON HOODS - Rock Solid Hood, Good skelatal structure... good fitment... bad for value... needs to be modified to fit... great blemish/quality control department... their hoods are top notch... but not for the money.

If you need a good value for the money hood, and must stick to a brand name... I'd go with VIS...

VIS owns all the other CF companies in their allowance of returns and fuckups...

they dont give a hell if its your fault... sometimes they will return on the will that their customer is right...

VIS has WAY WAY WAY better customer service thatn the other companies...

VIS can actually staff a good customer support team... those others are some ******* dude that cant speak english? or is playing a joke with you... VIS staff can actually speak good english? haha... well im sure the other hood companies have some good customer service...

JDMshit has good custoemr service... some other companies have wierd Customer Support...

If you want a good custom hood, with a variety of CF colors, and a vent option... I could probably make one for ya... PM me.
