I know most people remove it for weight/power purposes, but does anyone have an N/A car that still has A/C and power steering? Picked up an EM1 Si to play with while I build my CRX, and am just curious A/C and power steering has its advantages.

im putting down 191hp with both ac and ps.

 

What is your set-up if you don't mind

Unless you are going for an all out drag car, why sacrifice not having it??? If you are really that concerned and want to keep it, underdrive the units with pulleys.

I have p/s and a/c on my stock B18c5 swap in my civic. 169hp and 120 ft.lbs. It was worth the 4 hp to keep the accessories.

 

Well I got the same car, with A/C and P/s.....195 whp N/a.... I like it.. I am keeping it while its a daily driver.

 

never had ps but i kept ac lol lay down 202whp with ac belt on

 

I still have AC and PS (not hooked up during tracktime) on my EM1 see times below..

I still have both my ps and ac..although I'd like to rip the ac out I prefer to have ps

 

Has anyone got power steering and a/c to work in an EF? A b-series powered ef that is.

I have A/C in my crx with a b16. No power steering, hopefully the Quaife quick ratio will even that out alittle. I would not drive in Florida without it(ignore the colors old picture).

 

I have PS and AC in my fatass DC2 (2800 LBS with me in it). I don't know how much WHP I've got right now (still untuned), but I pull on swapped hatches and have no trouble keeping up with ITRs. If its a daily driver, and you live in a hot area, you're gonna want to keep those things. I do a lot of city driving and tight maneuvering, no PS would be a pain in the ***.

 

Still have my A/C and I have the whole PS unit still there just removed the belt. I didn't do it so much for the extra 4hp but I like the way it feels when driving.

Unless you weigh 80lbs not having power steering shouldn't be that bad. I'm only 160lbs and it doesn't bother me at all.

Times and dyno below.

 

Still have A/C and PS in my 200 whp daily driven 'R'.
No PS or A/C in the drag Civic.

 

I'm bulding up mine EM1 and both of those stuff are going off.

I live in Chicago and could live without AC and PS. Just gotta ask yourself a question is that 5whp really worth it?

All these guys are putting up nice numbers but I'm sure few of them would get over the 200whp just by removing PS, just something to think about.

 

Still have both power steering and air con on my ITR.

Basic JDM B20B setup with JDM ITR head with JDM SIR-G cams. All OEM parts. Put down 160whp...

LOL true, Doesn't apply to me since I don't let my girlfriend or anybody for that matter drive my car.

What the hell? No need for PS, that's just crazy. And the a/c? Did your power windows stop working? Come on Robbie...although this is your daily driver.
