Just wondering who is running a bigger bore throttle body with their dseries turbo kits? I was contemplating getting a bigger bore throttle body, because my set-up will be using a victor x IM, so i figured keeping the flow bigger and similar would be better than having it restrict right at the throttle body only to open back up right at the IM.

Just curious what gains people have had under boosted conditions.

Also, who is boring out throttle bodies, and who seems to have the best cost to performance ratio.

I have heard a little whisper and not sure if it is right. Are all honda throttle bodies interchangeable?

 

maxbore.com has prolly the cheapest service there is, and they do great work from what i have seen.

what size charge piping are you using. there is really no need to bore you TB anymore then your charge piping.

your going to have better flow with a larger TB, so you will notice gains. how much depends on other mods.

Just get a B16 TB and put it on there.. I think they are like 60mm and they bolt right on to the intake manifold.. You might need to open the TB hole on the IM but thats about it..

Not sure about all Honda TB's being interchangable but I know the B-series and D-series are.. If you get a B16 or GSR TB then you can get they bored and have even more.. B16 TB's can be gotten here on HT for like $40 or so..
