Instead of getting HID's I was just wondering about PIAA bulbs? Good or Bad...b/c I dont really want to mess with any electrical stuff b/c I dont want to void my warranty. I dont know really... All I want is Hyper White Bulbs

I had PIAA's on mine before I got HID's. A little better than stock, but not a whole lot. I can say they were very reliable compared to cheaper aftermarket bulbs.

No they're not. Silverstars are rated for the same lumens output as basic halogen bulbs. Some people believe they are brighter because they replaced old, existing bulbs. Halogen bulbs dim over time with usage.

Also, Silverstars have much shorter rated lifespans than standard/stock. Late model accords typically use 9006 low beams, which silverstars are rated at almost 1/10th the life;

1 9006 1,000 hrs (standard)
6 9006 150 hrs (silverstar)

i had silverstar before i got my HID too, yes i would say silverstar works good, but if you want it a bit brighter get the 9005 silverstar and convert them into 9006 by cutting out the "smallest" teeth on the bulbs and shaving down the line in the bulb housing. you will get the brightest bulbs you can buy that is non-hid. but again if you can afford hid, i say go with hid. a good one will run you from 200 to 400. i got mine for 300. 8000k has white-blue color but now planning to get 6300k because i want a bright white look.

I am currently using Wagner Tru View, I think they were a couple dollars less that the Silverstar, but seem to be just as clear and crisp at night.

I know nothing about HID but I would like to put them on my car, about how long do the bulbs last. Does anyone know of a good company to go through?

if being installed properly in a proper car that has no electrical problem it should last you for a pretty long time, maybe 10 years plus! my silverstar been lasting me for over a year now using on a daily basic and i bet it'll last even longer but i took them out for my HID. but i had stock hologen bulbs on my old car, an 85, i kept every stock and the bulbs still last just as good.hahahah

yea, i've had some in for a few months and i already had one burn out, id say silverstars aren't worth it becasue they burn out so much. For a set of 4 i spent 60 bucks and with how often you have to replace them you might as well get the hids. does anyone know if these hid kits are any good, they are really expensive,
http://www.hidexpress.com

or does anyone know any other good places to get HID?

If some of you guys are dead set on trying Silverstars, keep an eye on pepboys ads. They run sales for 20-30 on a pair. No need to sink 40+ since they're probably gonna burn out in 3-4 months anyways.

the HID kit up there are good but too expensive, i say best is either buy them used from someone or if you want it new go on ebay and search for your bulb size but if all you guys are driving accord search for 9006 hid conversion.....buy either 6000k to 8000k because it looks nicer and you get a better light output compare to the 10k or higher its purpleish, and its stand out and everythign but it's not bright and its also illegal in some states. i say the 6000k or around there should be a good deal if you want pure white and bright.

I had PIAAs and silverstars and I'd say go with the silverstars. I had my PIAAs for just over 2 years, but they were a bit pricy. the silverstars cost a lot less and they are just as bright.
