Default obd0 conversion harness really needed??? look

hey yall, I found that theres quite a few people Selling conversion harness's for 150-140 shipped, now I see 92-95 harness's go for 50 bucks, all day long. just currious WHY? wouldnt it make more sense to just use the whole harness???

I guess it would be benficial to me to use the whole harness cause im doing a MPFI and mini-me conversion on my 89 DX.

You have no idea the amount of work it would take to use a 92-95 harness. The converion harness save time and alot of headaches.

The obd0 to obd1 harness cost more because most of them are 2 piece harness, where the newer style harnesses are one 1 pc.

I have on obd1 conversion harness on my 89 crx si, works great. I choose the one made by Frog Engineering. Its a plug and play with a pig tail harness that hooks up to the 4 wire o2 sensor, knock sensor, extra ground, and vtec solinoid.

You can use the entire OBD1 harness setup if you wanted, but it is going to be a major pain. For for fraction of the price that you listed, you can get my OBD0-1 harness from here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=997093

Then it will take you approx 30 mins to install it depending on your skill level. The reason the OBD2-1 harnesses are cheaper is because of the extra time and hands on it takes for the OBD0-1 harness. Not to mention the subharness that is included with the OBD0-1 harness. Either way its up to you, but to me I see it as spend 100 bucks or so and 1hr, vs 10 bucks on supplies and 3+ hrs and mega headaches. Good luck and let me know if I can help out.

because, you don't just put the harness on. your talking tps, the dizzy o2's i mean you changing everything in my motor. so one, you gotta find a clean harness, then you gotta get all your sensors, put it all in and hope everything work. the harness way is just plug and play

well, The TPS on DX is the same as a MPFI? the o2 needs to be changed anyways. Along with the Dizzy. but 140 vs 60 dollers, is cheeper. but the way I see it is removing the whole harness. installing the mini me, with matching intake, AND MPFI. and plug it in.

If you want to do it, go for it. I would suggest getting the service manuals for both chassis, the dx and the MPFI chassis and rewire it. Not all of the pinout locations are the same between the two, the firewall connectors are not in the same locations, etc.
