These are Japanases Chassis codes for the ever so popular 92-95 and 96-00 Civics.

EG6 = JDM 92-95 Civic Hatch
EH2 = USDM 92-95 Civic Hatch CX, VX, DX
EH3 = USDM 92-95 Civic Hatch Si

Ek4 = JDM 96-98 Civic *Type R* Hatch
Ek9 = JDM 99-00 Civic *Type R* Hatch

However there are USDM EG8's which are 92-95 Civic Sedans and EG_ (dont know which number) for del slo's.

Most people will refer to their USDM 92-95 Civic Hatch as "EG" but in reality they are EH2 or EH3. This can be found on your vin number.

Aren't EK9's 96-00 type r's? and EK4's 96-00 VTi's?
Also:
EK3's are UKDM(JDM?) 96-00 1.5 SOHC Civic Hatch

im not going to do a complete break down here. it has been done before.

ek4's are 96-98 Type R's not sure if VTi's carry the same code.

ek9's are 99-00 Type R's not sure if VTi's carry the same code.
