4-2-1 vs. 4-1 headers

Ok, so I need headers for my GSR and I want to know the difference (performance wise) between 4-2-1 headers and 4-1 one peice header. Which one do you prefer? thanks

Well in the Mustang world, a 4-2-1 sounds like a tri y header.. these headers normally give better mid range power for an everyday driver and your 4-1 sound like long tube headers.. these normally suffer in the low end and give some nice HP up top.. I would perfer the tri y myself and take out the cats..

Actually.. i found more 4-2-1 headers for cheaper prices than i've found 4-1...
But anyway.. thanks for everyones input.. i think imma go 4-1 based on the results of the poll

hey if u guys ever get a chance, get four (4) water hoses and put them together...then turn all of them on, watch the out of control like patern that the water flows in, compare that to air moving through your header, thats why the best headers flow good, its all about turbalence control!
