RSX or WRX
I'm getting a new car pretty soon, and I've got it ruled down to either an Acura RSX type S or a Subaru Impreza WRX. I know the performance figures and advantages of both, and the Impreza seems to beat the acura in every way, other than looks and engineering quality. The AWD and the snail under the hood are what give it the most appeal to me. In fact, my only dislike for the wrx is the transmission, which pales in comparison to that of the RSX.
Im leaning towards the WRX, but as a loyal honda driver it's gonna be hard for me to make the decision.
Take note, i know the rsx is cheaper, but price doesnt matter.
What would you guys do?

This is a very hard decision. If it was up to me i would get the wrx. But i still love the type s. I own a ep but my brother just got a wrx and it makes me jelous alot. Performance is awesome since its all wheel drive and turboed. I like drivig the wrx when he is not at times

STI.
STI.
Get the WRX 4 door more roomy, sti's look really good. I don't know about the materials of the interior on the WRX but the rsx has a nice looking interior but cheap materials. Makes you feel like your driving a civic
tough decision... im die hard honda... but i would personally get the wrx
mainly b/c the wrx is faster (i wouldnt mod either, with the exception of maybe a cai) and it is roomier. gl, tough decision but you really cant go wrong either way.

I just got an 04 wrx, recently upgraded for a 99 gsr, and it could have possibly been my best decision for 2004. The car is really a piece of art, and handels like its on rails. You cannot take turns in the type-s going 100 +. The tranny gets weak after about 350 hp.. to the wheels .. so if you are considering bigger injectors, fuel pump, jdm wrx turbo, ecu, turbo back.. thats about 300 hp + tuned.. good for a 12 second runs all night at the track.. and can spank a stock evo or sti.. not saying its better but its a pretty nice sleeper.
drive both and let that make the decision for you. asking a biased forum will give ya biased opinions ? but what do i know
... same insurance prices.. my wrx is actually cheaper than the gsr was, gas is not that bad either 30 dollars fills it up . But if you must go with something else get a sti.. i couldnt justify the 700 dollar monthly insurance rate tho!

My 2nd car was a RSX Type S. I recently traded it in on a 2002 WRX. Couldn't be happier with my decision. The Acura has better build quality but I find that the WRX is a lot more fun to drive, its easier for the daily too because you dont have to rev the car to 6 grand to get power, turbo is fully spooled at 3k and has nice pickup.
I have come to love AWD. True the transmission isn't the strongest in the WRX, but as long as you don't launch it from every stop you come to it'll be fine, especially if your buying brand new cause you'll be the only one who would have beaten on it. My insurance went down $400 a year from the Type S also, which is nice.
Also I love the little things about the WRX, the boxer rumble, the sound of the turbo spooling, frameless doors, I love the blue color as opposed to my black RSX. If I could do it again I would have bought the WRX from the beginning, it has more potential to go fast, and isn't limited by wrong wheel drive. Just my $.02.

I being a EVO driver love AWD. Both the WRX and RSX have good build quality. I do think that the RSX's interior is better than that of the WRX, but the WRX comes with 227 at the crank and the 05 RSX type S comes with 210, both 2.0's. I would probably have to side with the RSX type S even though they are hard to work on (compared to B series motors that I am accustomed). That K20a2 is one hell of a motor. for me
RSX type s > WRX
STi > RSX type S
EVO>STi
that is me.

My friend chose a WRX over getting a Type S. In his case, the insurance for the WRX was actually cheaper than the Type S. It is a hard choice. Both of them take premium. Test drive both and see which you like better, if you can't decide then I'd go with the WRX just for the practicality of having four doors.
I bought a WRX over a RSX last yr. Im glad i bought it because RSXs tend to get lost in the crowd. For the most part RSXs on the road are base models being driven by old people who dont even care about their car, but the WRX is driven by owners who appreciate their vehicles. It just depends on if you like fwd's, awd is much different and IMO better.
