do you have a b16 tranny?

my rpms are about that high, but i have a jdm b16 tranny, not a gsr. when i had a gsr, i was around 3400 rpms or so.

sounds perfectly normal. tight gearing will do that.

at 80 I sit around 4100 rpm.

It's no fun tell you hit 6000 anyway.

yes thats normal. I have a LS with a b16 tranny and on the freeway my rmp reaches 4000-4500. At first i was wondering why it was so high then i later contact the guy where i bought the motor from and he told me it has a b16 tranny not a LS.

Just wait until 4400 RPM when VTEC engages - you want to talk about a hit in fuel economy . . .

NOt really from what I've been told is that the ecu is programmed to run lean while your cruisin like that... I get an average of 30 mgp on my b16 in my civic and I do hit the vTEc!!! quite often

i dont think it works if you part throttle the car (crusing ).... so crusing in vac = no vtecH...why would you want to cruise in vtec anyways?
