how is the spoon shift knob?
Here is a picutre:

I want something one that won't burn my hand in the summer or freeze it in the winter, so metal was pretty much out.
to anybody who owns this, how do you like it?

I had it before my car was stolen, it's great(the shift ****). Never reflects the outside temp, always stays pretty neutral. The only thing its light and small, so if your use to weighted or large shift ***** takes some time to get use too. One of the nicest shift ***** out there classic piece
I've had 2 One on My EF hatch
and Another which i still have on my SiR
I do like this Shiftknob over stock! Can really feel your shifts!
I reccommend it to any1

I had this shiftknob for a year or two. It was a nice piece, definitely didn't burn my hand during the summer. Very light piece, and you can definitely feel your shifts.
Recently, however, I got bored with the feel and opted for a stock OEM GSR shiftknob

I have the same black one and i hate it. There's like no weight to it at all and its weird feeling in my opinion. i actually went to a stock gsr **** instead
98+ gsr **** in eg =
99+ si **** =
2003+ si **** = sits too high
spoon **** = no weight and too skinny in my opinion...but it looks good

haha..same thing I did!! I'll have to agree though, there is no weight. And I'll have to admit, I've been through the greddy ****, the spoon ****, and now the Stock OEM GSR **** and have not missed a gear as much as I have with that spoon ****. Not sure why, but if i had to guess, I would blame it on the weight.

It doesn't get hot or cold, but I'll tell you this: I had one on my Civic and I went back to the stock...MUCH more comfortable. The Spoon unit offers a nice crisp shift feeling but that's nothing a pair of polyurethane shift linkage bushings won't provide while retaining the comfort of the stock shift ****
IMO the OEM ITR titanium shift **** is the best. its nice and heavy and never gets uncomfortably hot or cold. then again i've never felt a spoon ****.
just because it's SPOON doesn't mean it's all that. You do have to get used to it because it is light and small. I don't think it gets hot or cold. I never had a problem with the screw gettin loose on me either.... after using the SPOON **** for about a year, and switched to a stock SI one, the SI one felt so much better.....
So what do you think is better: skunk2's or spoon's? my friend has a skunk2 and said he likes it alot; and I was considering getting a spoon ****, but after reading some of these opinions, im questioning my thoughts.
I had a Skunk 2 one before my Spoon. The SKunk 2 got really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter. The Duracon material the Spoon shift **** is made out of makes it a neutral temp in any conditions. It felt great shifting through the gears matted to a gsr shifter. I decided to go all mugen now I'm back to a metal shift **** which takes in its surrounding temp, but I love the feel.
Skunk 2- wieght
Spoon- feel and neutral temp
Mugen- feel and blingness

what I am worried about is the summer, i dont wanna burn my hand lol... so mugen and skunk2 are similar? and spoon is just in it's own category?
