help! b16 swap nightmare! rpm wont come down!
I have a 92 hatch dx, and i just swapped a 0bd1 b16, still using dx wiring harness, everything went in fine swap wise, but when i start the car, it would run normal for about 20 secs, then the rpms just shoot up and never comes back down! plus a cel comes on and its code 14 iacv, well i cleaned the thing out with carb cleaner, but the car still does the same thing. I unplugged the sensor also, but the car just surges between 1,500 to 2500 rpm. my vacum lines from the map sensor and evap solenoid are unplugged. reason why its unplugged is because whenever i plug in the map sensor vacum, the rpm immediatly climbs up. and i cant find a place to plug the evap solenoid line. and to make things worst my water pump is leaking!
anyone with any ideas of what it could be? i need my car running as soon as possible.
EDIT: i forgot to mention i'm using the tps sensor from the dx, if that means anything?

take it from a guy who screwed around for 2 weeks looking at the wrong solutions, your car will not run right with vacuum lines unplugged.

put all your vacuume lines back tohow they were,on screw the idle controll valve and plug it with something, the tighten it all back down.start the car after its been running for a little bit"they hesitate if its cold" and se if it solve it.again for the 5th time this month i suggest using part of a ceral box to block it off.works every time for me when i try and find leaks.good luck.
