Default my 94 hatch hit a house tonight...

my dads been driving my car for 2 months because he needed it for work because his car was hit and in the shop. he knows about my autostart and the problem with it being a manual.

so tonight, he borrowed my keys to move my car so my relatives could park. i have 2 autolocks in car and also a club. the club was put on but not locked and the autolocks were not even put on. that ******* pissed me off so i put em on.

when we were about to leave, i decided to autostart my car. for some reason, i looked outside before i autostarted the car. all of a sudden, i saw the car move. right there i knew i was fucked. the car jumped up the curb and hit the brick part of the house. my bumper is all fucked up. i dont really mind because my car isnt "JDM" but what pissed me off is the fact that my car jumped a curb and hit a house because my ******* dad is too ******* lazy left it in 1st gear and so ******* lazy and not pull my ebrake all the way up.

the good thing was that the owners of the house came 5 minutes later after i moved the car back.

thats the last ******* time anybody else other than me drives my car. my mom did the same earlier this week and hit another car but minor damage.

*if you have a manual car with autostart, dont let anybody drive the *****

that's the problem with autostart. Some people get used to putting it in gear when they park their cars. imagine if there were people around. Glad nobody got hurt.

good thing the steering wheel was toward the curb instead of out. it would have hit another car if it was.

everytime i leave the car, i always wiggle the stick to make sure its in neutral.
******* lazy *** people.

atleast my dad knows that if my car gets stole cuz he was too lazy to put the autolocks/club on, hes buying me a new hatch.

1) you didnt tell the owners of the house? because it sounds that way

2) thats why you dont put an autostart on manual trans, you call your dad a lazy *** but you are the one who has an autostart on your car.

1) auto start is only to show off

2) 2 autolocks and a club can't stop a tow truck

3) your parents probably bought the car for you in the first place so lay off them, it's their car

4) move "your" car yourself

What does that have to do with being irresponsible?

autostart shouldn't be working if the parking brake didn't applied?

Yeah, remote start is pretty bling for showing off when you live in New England. Because I for one know I like having to wake up 15 minutes early to go scrape snow/ice off my car then wait 10 minutes for the engine to warm up.

Oh well, at least now you've figured out to not let anyone drive your car.

Most installers will not put an auto start in a car with a manual trans, just for that reason. Technically, they can get sued for it.

You try waiting 20 minutes for your car to warm up, then scrape off the ice, deice your locks, brush the snow off. Then try saying an autostart is bling, I dont have one, cause I can stand the snow, Im a beef jerky eating, senior citizen headbutting lumberjack, therefore I am far tougher than anyone else.

They raise us tough up here in the Northeast! I'm fully capable of buying a remote start, but why!? Nothing like that first blast of 2 degree air hitting you right after you jump out of bed!

i've scraped ice of my windshield and waited 20 mins for my car to warm up many times before

i still say it's not needed and more for show than functionality

in this case, KockAsian is showing off

Yeah i've heard its illegal to put remotestarters on manual trans cars, for this exact reason along with hit people if the car jumps.

i guess people in the north east with snow who drive automatics with autostart are showing off too.

Actually, its illegal to put an autostart on the car because you have to bypass the clutch. If you do this and go to emissions/inspection and they see you bypassed your clutch, you get a big fat F.

1. Good thing that no one got hurt
2. They already have remote starts for manual cars, my cousin is an installer and does them once in a while. The ones he does wont start if it is left in gear.
3. Remote start in the north east It sucks having to go out in the cold 15 min early to warm up the car.
