well i blew the motor up the other day the rod cap snapped off. eagles fault not mine or builders. so me and eagle are trying to work out some sort of deal or something. im never buying another part from them again though. i have a Crower stroker kit being made right now and i have a new block sent to Benson in California to be sleeved. when it gets done and the stroker kit comes in im gonna have a 2.15L ls/vtec engine. running same cr as last time 11.5:1. should be much faster than last time.

This isn't the first time i've heard of Eagle rod bolts snapping. Whats the deal? What RPM were you pushing when this happened?

yea i figure if the Crower stuff breaks on me im just gonna sell the car and start over on a EG hatch or something. but if everything works out like i plan in a few months im gonna get a EG hatch anyhow and put a nsx 3.0 engine in it. build it, make the civic RWD and boost the hell out of it...see where that gets me i figure a 3.0l bored and possibly stroked to 3.4-3.6 and puttin down something like 12-15 psi would be rather formidable in a race.

my eagle rod bolt snapped in my LSVTEC also. I had an 84x95mm LSVTEC putting down 242 WHP and didnt even get a chance to make a pass at the track in it.

good luck with your new build.

You know why they snap?

99% of the time it is improper installation.
