Need help choosing clutch for turbo CRX
I'm finishing up purchasing all the parts for my turbo build, but I don't know what kind of clutch to get.
I have a CRX with LS swap, t3/t04e turbo, and I'm hoping for 300 hp. I will use the car mostly for drag racing with some occasional driving on the weekends. The car will be driven to the track also.
I'm looking for a good clutch to handle the power, but not so stiff I can't drive it to the track.
Please help

Does the XTSS use a street disc as opposed to a puck disc? The street disc won't be as harsh as a puck disc, right?

I think I've settled on the ACT XTSS clutch kit. I forgot to ask about flywheels, should I keep the OEM one or get a lighter aftermarket one?
I've read that with a lightened flywheel, you'll go thru the gears faster, making traction even harder to maintain. And since I'll be drag racing, that wouldn't be a good thing.
Any thoughts?

If it's mainly for drag don't mess with a lightened flywheel, it makes it harder to launch (from experience). Isn't really worth it IMO.
And don't screw around with organic discs, launching at nearly 8k on slicks will kill the organic facing right quick... step up to a 6 puck. I think I got like 20 passes, tops on my organic disc before it died. Not wasting any more time or money on those things for a car making any power.

for a mostly street used car i would not run a puck (if you do) make sure you have something with a sprung hub...sometimes i'd rather the clutch slip away over breaking tranny parts...

Thats why the Exedy 3pucks are so great.. They are a sprung 3puck clutch..
