Ok guys, I have a 99 civic cx hatch and its an automatic. I hate this transmission and I want to swap it out to a 5-speed. What parts do I need and are there any tutorials on this?

 

you are going to need a lot of work. I would recomend buying a 5spd civic it will be cheaper and easier. you will need: just a few i can think of: pedal sets, center console, clutch resovior, tranny, ecu, etc. there is more i can't think of.

 

Manual tranny from a sohc civic 92-00
ECU from a manual 99-00 Civic DX or CX
All pedals from a 96-00 Manual Civic
Clutch, Flywheel

Cant remember anything else, but I'm sure I'm missing a few things.

EDIT: depending on your future plans, you might as well save up for a DOHC manual swap and get few pieces that you'll be missing to complete the manual conversion..

sohc Auto CX = Slower
sohc Manual CX = slow...

Not worth the money IMO.

I want to change it to stick first so I can easily swap in a b18 in the near future. Do I have to cut anything for the clutch pedal?
