i have a 94 vx with a 97 y8 swap. i have a automatic ex cluster that has about 256k on it.. the other day the speedo like died, just the speedometer part of the cluster and sine that it most of the time works but sometimes bounces around. is it my cluster thats on its way out or wires or anything or is it time to replace my 256k clusteR?

 

im not sure what your asking, Can you replace only the speedo....Yes. I would recomend just replacing the entire auto cluster for a standard one.

 

Probably the cluster..throw a friends in there and see if it jumps around. It is possible that a pin is loose but I reallly doubt it.

It's on the trans dont worry about that for now just try and see if you can find someone with the same car or with a 5th gen cluster and plug it in and see if it works...if it does you need a new cluster no big deal man

 

hah iknow it will be a huge relief if its just the cluster, i wouldnt be suprised since the cluster has 256k on it.. alright well is anyone selling a jdm egcluster or eg ex 5 speed cluster?
