Getting New Wheels!!! 17's or 18's
I have a black 98' Gsr and was thinking about going with Focal R3's. But I was not sure what size to get. Which size would be the best!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!
16" for looks.
15" for performance.
I had 18's last year, they steal a LOT of performacnce outta your car, plus the tires available in that size SUCK. nitto nt450 are HORRIBLE.
oh ****... Focal rims are heavy too, maybe you dont care about performance, but I can timagine you dont care at all....
please for the love of your teg, dont go any larger than 16", and make sure you get a superb tire that is performance all the way. please man!

best for what? for looks (its in the eye of the beholder) IMO I would save your money for some lightweight volks (te37 or ce28s) or spoon/regamasters in a 15" or 16" less rotational mass is a good thing. do you know the weight of your 18" focals - my guess would be atleast 20-25 lbs if not more where as the spoons and volks avg 9-11 lbs for a 15, 16... your car will not handle better with 18s - this does not apply to you if you are ALL SHOW and NO go
Stick with some 15s or 16s unless you want your car to be slow. Seriously, ive seen modded GSRs with 17s get their asses kicked by a stock Si after he got 17s, and no, they werent shitty drivers either. I love the way a nice set of 17s look on an integra, but theres a price you pay for looking good. Just my .02 good luck
edit-damn, 2 people beat me too it...

I dont know how u guys look at it...but to me i dont think u can have both...if u have 16...they are not that great looking but the car is pretty quick...if u have 18's the car looks perfect but it make the car slower and u have to be careful about bumps and pot hole coz i bent my racingharts c5s 3 piece like twice i think...
forget about ur 18 focal..
buy it n youll regret it so much later down the road..
imo..a 16 inch is nice if u still want performance n looks..
17 if ull just b rolling around..< consider tires cost too if its ur daily driven car>
n yeh..buy a good brand..u could trade them or sell them later..
i know i woudlnt buy focals for 200 dollars..

I know some people say there played out but, what about rota's? Aren't the 17's pretty lightweight? I was looking into to it but, probably won't get rims till spring. I'm debating what size to get also. Anyone know the weight of... rota slipstreams 17's? It will probably rob some power but, I'm sure not as much as a set of heavy *** 17' or 18's. Hell get some 20" Niche if you don't want any performance.
18" FOCALS!!!!!!!!!!!!???????
just exactly how slow are you wanting to go?!? get some 16 or 17(at the MOST) light rims unless you are into the ghetto BLING BLING look then I would not even bother posting on this board go over to SUPERHONDA.com

Personally, i bought 17s.. why? i hated the stock 15 LS rims... 17s are a tad bit big, but considering most of the people around here have 18's on their ricemobiles, its not that bad.. if you MUST get a big wheel, get 17's with a good tire... nothing more, you'll regret it. If i was to do it again, i'd probably get 16's with a low profile tire.. But oh well
i'm still happy with my Konig Verdicts.

well i just bought 17" rims for my car.....but i kept my stock 15's so when i go to the strip or auto x (when ever i take some classes) ill have those to throw on with some nice drag/auto xing tires....and i got 17 because they do look nice i dont street race so i dont need to be able to go excessive speed...but 18s are a big so its up to you its your car

YOU!
