A'PEXi Power FC
Anyone here running one? I did a search and came up empty. I am about to do an ECU upgrade and seeing the flex ability the Power FC has, seems to be the best bang for the buck. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Not the greatest as far as aftermarket ECUs go.
I dont like it for 2 reasons:
1. You dont have true control over the maps, only what they call correction maps
which makes it into an oversized VAFC in a way.
2. All programming must be done through a handheld programmer. Very annoying
and you dont get to have a good look at what you are doing.
Also, you will have to find someone nearby who is good at tuning and/or knows
the FC very well.
I recommend the hondata, not only because i am a dealer and use one in my own
car, but because I feel that its much more versatile. The cost is a bit on the high
side for 96+ cars, but its worth it.
one thing i should say, if you dont have plans of doing serious motorwork, your
money is probably better spent elsewhere.

Austin,
I know the Power FC has water temp. correction in the tuning parameters, does that translate into electric fan controller?
Do you have the Power FC commander? If so, is the keypad easy to read & work from?
What type of control do you have over the tuning maps?

Yes in my opinion and as far as the maps...all I have to say is get some one who knows what they are doing when you have your FC tuned...although it is plug and play...don't play if you have no idea what you are doing....and I like my FC very much...

I think that Eric answered most of your questions...if you have more, please ask. As I've been playing with the PowerFC for about 7 months now, and about 60 dyno runs.
