my piece of shit car wont start
I have power to everything but the engin wont turn over, click, or anything. Whats wrong?? It has a brand new battery, and alternater. i cant figure it out.
It's mad at you for calling it a piece of ****. It wont start until you talk to it nicely and give it a body massage.
Year? Trim level? Engine? These things help in determining what's wrong.

go join http://www.3geez.com they would know a little more, but i think an 85 is 2nd generation Accord? 3geez would have more knowledgable people on it than here...most people here have Accords from 90 up...
hey when i first got my battery i hooked it up backwards because my terminals arent marked. Do u think that could be a problem why it wont start. And what can happen if you do hook a battery up backwards?

I know you'll have huge problems if you JUMP a battery backwards. I suggest you clean the battery clamps (off hte battery of course) with baking soda and water and a toothbrush, then reattach it properly. It may be just a bad connection.

I just wanted to add, my friend was jump starting his car from a battery and he hooked the cables up backwords, and the battery basicly blew up on him. He was lucky he wasnt really badly burned from the acid. Be careful man, never be to careful!

Yeah I agree, car batteries are one thing you can never be too careful with, very dangerous ****! That's good that nothing major was damaged tho. Good luck and BTW those older accords are sweet!
