Oil disappearing!!
i'm sorry if this has been posted before... i did a search for a while but could find anything. i have a 91 CRX hf with a b18c swap, portflow valvetrain, obd1 ecu... i seem to be losing oil somewhere in my engine, and have to refill about 2-3 quarts every 3k miles between oil changes
i ran a compression test on the engine and it's perfect, can't find any visible oil drips from the engine bay or surrounding areas, but the car spits small bits of black stuff (oil?) out the exhaust when i first turn on the engine, plus it seems to be running very rich... i even changed from 5w30 to 10w30 oil... someone please help? anyone else with this problem? or with any ideas?

do a leakdown test your compression might be good but you can still have a problem...how is the blow by on the car...if your running rich enough then its possible the gas can eat up that much oil...smell your dipstick does it have a strong gas smell to it...let us know!
imo it's def. your valve stem seals when they go bad they allow oil to drop past when the car is sitting.. then you start it up and PLUME! smoke out the back, u have to do a leakdown test to be sure! good luck.
also change your pcv valve.
my teg uses about a quart in between oil changes if i romp on it all the time. not a drop if i drive normal.... i guess thats normal for blow by in the upper rpms tho.
anyways just keep checking your oil level and make sure its full until you can get the problem fixed
merry xmas
