I've searched for topics covering this but did not come up with anything that helped. I have a 94 si hatch with a 93 b18b engine. I've gone through a lot of problems with my CEL and finally got everything right, except for code 12. Code 12 has something to do with the egr valve, but my car had/has no egr! I dont believe my Si engine had an EGR either. I'm running a 99 gsr tranny with the swap and thought maybe the previous tranny was an auto (which had an egr?). But I cannot find any evidence of an egr valve on the engine and this has me very confused. I know the CEL isnt affecting anything, but Its annoying watching that light come on once I get down the road. LMK if you guys have had this kind of trouble and how you fixed it. thanks

 

what ecu are you running?
i have been told that some of the eraly automatic integras did have an egr system on them.

 

i think its related to your ecu. which one are u running?

 

It is deifnitely the ECU. Automatic non-VTEC Integras have EGR. So if you are running an automatic ECU and don't have the EGR connected, you will run a code 12. The solution? Get a manual transmission ECU.
