long story short - i had my motor in for 1000 "break-in" miles and had to take it out to fix something else. the internals of the motor were removed. everything was brand new 1000 miles ago - is it a neccessity to replace the piston rings and bearings again?
if they OEM with normal wear then NO but its all ways good to check them anyways
as long as they look good they do not necessarily need replaced but its a fairly inexpensive task if you have any doubt at all. if it was my motor and i had to pull it back apart i would replace them just to be sure.
i wouldn't worry to much about it unless something doesn't look right. still you should check/measure bearings and cylinder bore roundness.
the rings will probably be ok but it probably wouldn't hurt to replace them..
