94 accord trouble
Increasingly frequently during the past 3 months my car just turns itself off as I'm driving. Battery is fine, as all lights and radio works, and the car will turn over but no sparks are generated. The car won't then start for about 45mins to an hour. I've heard that this could be the ignitor for the distributor. What do you think? Or could it be the coil, or could it be something electrical, or could it be the fuel pump? Any ideas? By the way my accord has almost 300,00 clicks on it... not sure if that matters. And yes, it could be time for a new car!

Is the ignition key getting warm when the car is running? Next time this stalling happens, leave the key where it is, jump out with your handy dandy test light and probe the big fat Black/yellow wire at the coil to see if you've lost power from the ignition switch. Also have in hand a 10mm or 17mm wrench to open the fitting on the fuel rail a little to check for fuel pressure. When ya figure out if you're losing spark or fuel it will make diagnoses a little easier.
hey buddy...if its the coil or igniter....ur car will turn over but wont start...try this..i bet its a bad ignition switch....''the electrical part of the switch..<-----when those starts to go bad...when the igniton gets hot the car will turn off....let it sit 4 awhile and when it cools ...the car will start....try the ignition swtich...'''electrical part of the ignition switch aight...
