Default TUrbo SOHC-V bogs at low RPMS.....HELP

so i swapped in a sohc-v and now when i drive my car when i shift from 1st to 2nd it kinda hesitates and then picks up a second later. what could this be? i think my timing might be a little off.....the car had a hard time idling upon start up so its fully advanced right now. it was the only way i could raise my idle....is this what it is? i plan on checking timing tomorrow but as for right now....what do you guys think?

your car had a hard time idling so you fulling advanced the dizzy?!? [redneck voice]You out ya' mind boi![/redneck voice] usually something is wrong if you have bad idling. Like a vacum leak or too rich or lean. Put your timing at stock, get a wideband and uberdata/hondata and tune your car or take it to someone to get tuned. If you keep your dizzy the way it is say bye bye to your new swap becasue you ARE going to crack a ringland without a doubt. and BTW if you don't know how to use a timing light to set your timing back to stock (where it should be) then you shouldn't drive a turbo honda

oh i know that....its not like i went ripping around everywhere....i drove around the block just to see how its doing....i didnt take it above 4K at most. i checked for leaks and stuff already but cant find anything. i did remove my charcoal canister but i plugged up the places with nylon caps. the only reason i fully advanced it was to get the idle up around where it should be. but okay i'll do what you said...thanks
