.......it depends on the overall condition of your car. This is really too broad of a topic and not enough info is given to give you an answer. If it's in good condition, it shouldn't have any problems. People have driven their R's across the country.

Dude, it's an F***ing Honda. It'll go forever.

Bring a couple quarts of oil, just in case and check the air in your tires and spare (make sure you have the key to your lugnuts if applicable)

I've driven from Dallas to Chicago and back a couple times, and I've driven from Chicago to Mid-Ohio (few hundred miles) boosted, no issues.

bring a extra dist. assembly. that usually the only thing that goes bad on a honda.

other than that make sure evrything is in good working condition.

down side, being a R i would hate for you to be stranded somewhere cause someone decided they need the car more than you. while its parked.

check the oil and tires then go!

Only bad part is no cruise control. so you wind up driving faster then you wanted too

I put almost 12,000 miles on my R going to/from the track this year and did not carry any spare parts other than oil, brake pads and rotors.

I would be more worried about where you would park it in Vegas.

9 hours is not across country. it'll do the trip easily. i take my old DA9 on trips up and down the west coast all the time. from salt lake to vancouver/seattle down to san diego, through vegas and back to slc...that was last month. did great with 110k miles. burned 1 qt of 5w-30 and got 34 mpg. i've also done houston to salt lake and houston to the east coast several times with no problems. 9 hours is a drop in the bucket.
plus, when you stop for gas or food with the motor shut off, it gives it a chance to rest. but, moving on the highway is what keeps engines running at a nice temp, especially with cool desert temps. have the car valeted in vegas. we parked a car ourselves(the E50) and it got marked up like crazy. valet the car next time, and nothing.

took me like a week. drove 7-9 hours a day or so

my car ran ok.. with ALOT of baggage in it.

only think i would worry about is....the weather... if it snows alot. it wont be too fun on highways

good luck

Man, from your title, you make it sound like you are going to take your car to the other end of the planet.

9hrs. is nothing. Keep a watchful eye on it in Vegas though.

As long as the car has been well maintained, it will have no trouble at all making it 9 hours.

i wouldn't stress it unless you are having current problems. bring some oil, check fluids/tire pressure, stay awake, and you're good to go.

just check the usual things like you would with all other cars. (coolant, oil, tire psi, brake).

Staying awake is the hardest part as was mentioned above. Everything else is gravy.

I Drove 12 hours at 80 mph minimum Back and Forth from expo 4 plus the whole racing weekend and i didn't do anything except add oil and gas. So if you can't drive 9 hours in yours then you really fucked it up while driving like a sicko...
