universal oxygen sensor
My sister has a '95 Accord non Vtec with a bad post-cat o2 sensor. The replacement is $220 but a universal 4-wire replacement is only $60. There's no problem with just splicing the universal to the old connector right? I know on some cars you can't cut the wiring cause there's a reference oxygen tube or something in the wiring. Thanks.
i would like to say its risky tho, but some reason the O2 will work like normal, but the in built in heater will give you problems and short your system.. i have no idea why tho
just save for the oem...

Don't get the universal ones. Just get a plug-in replacement from autozone or any other car parts store, uses the OEM plug and works perfectly fine. I got mine for like $70 from advance auto parts.
And that's one of the VERY FEW times I'll get parts from a store like that.

I just put a new header on ym car and when i unpluged the o2 sensor to put it into the new header. Well i unplugged it and the sensor unscrewed just fine but the end that plugs into the harness came out.. they are fine they just neet to be put back in in order and i dont know what it is if someone has a 94 accord lx and could see? I know its a 94 lx why would you put header on that well i wanted to so no wisecracks but yea thats my dilema so my check engine lights on obviously but if someone could just look there 4 wires 2 black and a white and a green. THX!
Nothing wrong with putting a header on a car
Here ya go:
o2 sensor wires on the left, engine harness on the right:
green -> green/black
black(next to green) -> orange/black
black(next to white) -> yellow/black
white -> white/orange

I thought about something to eliminate the sensor like people use when they take the cats out on there trucks but when I aksed no one said anything about one. I just ordered the NGK O.E. type one from Nopionline.com for $102
